Corinna Schnitts works investigate social relationships. Her video installations are often humorous, sometimes verging on the absurd. The images she shows as if in passing are in fact precisely arranged based on exacting scrutiny of various forms of representation. This publication looks at a recent video installation that deals with the issues of homeland, private happiness, leisure time, work and prosperity. Along with information on this new production, an overview is also provided of Corinna Schnitts previous work. Corinna Schnitt (*1964) lives and works in Cologne and Berlin. Her video works have been shown internationally in exhibitions as well as at media and film festivals.
